Join NIO Public Policy Tour, March 24, Washington DC
NIO's fourth annual Public Policy Tour of Washington, DC will take place on Wednesday, March 24, 2010. The one-day event will focus on high-level meetings on Capitol Hill. Please join fellow members and give commercial neuroscience a collective voice in the nation's capital.

The NIO Public Policy Tour of Washington, DC commences Wednesday, March 24 on Capitol Hill. Meetings are scheduled with key senators, congressmen and their staffers at their offices. Participants will introduce NIO and present our key proposals, including the National Neurotechnology Initiative (NNTI). We are working on additional high level meetings for the tour. NIO members will get to introduce themselves and join in a free form discussion with officials about your individual company issues.
Tuesday, March 23
7 pm - Gather on the eve of the tour for a networking dinner/tour overview at Lima at 1401 K Street (sponsored by K&L Gates)
Wednesday, March 24
7 am - Meet at the offices of K&L Gates for breakfast and to discuss key objectives and proposals for congressional meetings.
9 am - Depart for meetings on Capitol Hill.
9:30 am - 4:30 pm - Meet with neurotech champions and other healthcare leaders on Capitol Hill. Members split into groups of 4-5 individuals to meet with senators, representatives, and health care staff. Participants will eat lunch on Capitol Hill.
4:30 pm - Tour concludes
